Sofia's Birthday Party

So here are a few pictures of Sofia's Bday party. Lots of people came out and a good time was had by all. La banda Lubricante played a great set, as usual, and Sofia painted another amazing piece of art. Thank you to everyone who swung by and said hi.

Video Fashion editorial New designers

We shot this video for the Puerto Rico High fashion week. It was used to showcase up and coming Puerto Rican designers, Pipo Pere, José Raul and Juan Colón. We shot it in the Old City (Viejo San Juan). We shot it on a back staircase of the Hotel "El Convento", which used to be a nunnery. Enjoy

People on the streets

Photos I've captured of people, some known and unknow.

I was taking pictures on a highway overpass, when this man walked behind me I looked at him and said to my friend Jerry, "I need to get a picture of this guy!" He was walking so fast I had to run to catch up, I went though the whole explaining of why I wanted to take his photograph and he just kept repeating to me he needed to hurry,"Tengo que avanzar, estoy trade pal guiso! Los muchachos me estan esperando!" (I have to hurry, I'm late for a gig, the boys are waiting for me!". I got this one shot. I think you can see the hurry/annoyance in his face.

Video Behind the scenes editorial

We did this photo shoot in an abandoned house near the capital, San Juan. Ther theme was "Gothic swim wear"?? The house smelled like crap, there was trash and broken glass all over the place. I used a NIN song because I felt it fit perfectly with the mood of the shoot. When I sent the video to California so they could put it up on the CW, I forgot to edit the word "Fuck" out of it and we got a warning from the FCC!! My boss found it funny, but told me never to do it again.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band

This is a great band out of Brooklyn. I was able to go to one of their shows last December. They are totally amazing. They really know how to get a crowd going. Their live shows are energetic and just plain fun. Lots of dancing and of course, lots of clapping. There are like 8 people in the band, the club was really dark and the stage was kind small so I couldn't get pictures of each one of them, but here are a few hope you enjoy them.
Check out Their website and pick up their album.

Some of the pictures I've taken over the years in Puerto Rico.
